#FLASHBACKFRIDAY at the PNC Downtown Raleigh Movie Series

June 9th.   5:00 p.m. (Food Trucks & Vendors open. Movies starts at Dusk.)  City Plaza, Downtown Raleigh

Come out and enjoy an FREE outdoor movie with the family.  The Flashback Friday feature will be The Mask.  Food Trucks, vendors, live music and local crafts beers will be on site.  Bring your favorite lawn chairs and enjoy a night under the stars.

Summerfest: A Space Spectacular

June 10th.  7:30 p.m. Booth Amphitheatre, Cary

Hear how composers across generations and genres have imagined the mysteries of space in their music. From John Williams’ memorable music for Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, to selections from Star Trek and from Holst’s The Planets, this is the perfect family fun program to enjoy under a star-filled sky.  In addition, families can take pictures with Storm Troopers and enjoy meeting the Instrument Zoo.  (FREE Lawn Admission for children 12 years and under.)

Rhythm of Race: A Celebration of Music, Dance & Spoken Word

June 10th.  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  NC Museum of History, Raleigh

Enjoy a day of multi-cultural poetry, music, and dance that echoes the key messages of the “RACE” exhibition — that we are more alike than different and that artistic expression can build bridges between people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds.  This event is held in conjunction with the featured exhibit RACE: Are We So Different?  FREE event for all ages. 

Marbles Fresh Fest

June 10th. 9:00 – 5:00 p.m.   Marbles Kids Museum, Raleigh

Bring the kiddos out to Marbles to play with their food and figure out where it comes from. Celebrate fresh produce, pollinators and local products, and learn from community members who plant, grow, prepare and deliver the stuff we eat from farm to table.

Sunday FUNDay Lawn Party

June 11th.  3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Midtown Park at North Hills, Raleigh

Close out the weekend with an afternoon of FREE lawn games, live music, curated beverages and more. This is a kid-friendly event.
