The BEE-dazzling Bayer North American Bee Care Center is on a mission to make bees everyone’s beeswax.
Bayer North American Bee Care Center recently celebrated their third-anniversary improving the health of bees on our continent through outreach, education, and collaboration. Did you know you can visit their innovative and state-of-the-art center, located in Research Triangle Park? It’s a buzz with research labs, workshop space, and interactive colorful learning stations designed to inform visitors and ultimately promote and preserve bee health.
A visit to the center and a stroll through the beautiful adjacent gardens makes it clear just how much humans need bees. Not only do bees make honey, but they also are responsible for pollinating plants that grow our food. Although bees face many threats to their health and wellness, there are things we can do to help, including planting wildflowers so bees have plenty of food.
BEE-friend colonies from coast to coast by planning a visit to tour the Bee Care Center with your budding little beekeepers. The Bee Care Center, conveniently located on TW Alexander Drive, is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays for family and school tours. Just “bee” sure to make a reservation here prior to your trip.
