If you’re curious about the world of cloth diapering Cloth Diaper Revival will be sharing best tips and lessons on the benefits of cloth diapering.

Jualeah Early

 Session: Model & Care Program for Mother and Baby at Baby+Company’s Birthing Center

Jualeah graduated with Masters in Science of Nursing in 2008 from Frontier Nursing University. Since graduating she has caught lots of beautiful babies and cared for many women in all stages of their wonderful lives. Jualeah (wa lee a), is married to Orlando, and has 3 awesome children, Nakita, Storm, and Erica, all of whom are now adults but forever her babies. Through her journey she has empowered and been empowered by the women and families she has cared for. Jualeah absolutely loves what she does, and is very excited to be able to care for moms and families at Baby+Company.

 

Amantia Kennedy, MD, FACOG –

Session: Preparing for a Healthy Pregnancy

Dr. Kennedy is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with clinical interests in infertility and high-risk obstetrics as well as minimally-invasive and roboticassisted surgery. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Kennedy earned her medical degree from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association.

 

Shannon Corlett, MS, RDN, LDN  

Dietician | Avance Care

Session: Nutritional Snacks During Pregnancy

Shannon is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. She completed her coordinated Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship program at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduation, Shannon began teaching nutrition courses as an Adjunct Instructor at CWRU and entered into clinical practice as a Registered Dietitian at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. She is passionate about sharing knowledge, and has been involved with research over the past several years to further the integration of nutrition and preventative medicine with comprehensive medical care. Her studies focus on eliminating barriers to healthy living and preventing the development of chronic conditions through the early identification of risk factors.  She enjoys helping her patients understand the factors underlying their conditions, and empowering them to use this knowledge to better manage their health. Shannon promotes wellness at all stages of life and guides her patients through the development of comprehensive plans that are individualized to fit their unique lifestyles.  She believes that communication and collaboration are the foundation for achieving and maintaining health and nutrition related goals.

WakeMed Certified Lactation Consultant

Kim has been with WakeMed for many years, working as a certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) since 1994.  She has practiced in the hospital setting as well as private practice, working with infants ranging from late preterm to one year of age.

 

 

 

We look forward to celebrating and connecting with new and expecting moms at Bloom on Saturday, May 20th.  

Due to space constraints, we recommend all babies be worn, held, or in a carrier as there is no room to accommodate multiple strollers at this event.
