Moms Night Out Fun!

Waking up this morning feeling recharged, as I hope so many of  last night’s Moms Night Out attendees are! Isn’t amazing how just stepping out for a little break can make you feel refreshed?

I couldn’t be more pleased with the success of our first Moms Night Out! With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this event was truly a celebration of Moms. I was so excited to see how many people came out, most of whom didn’t know anyone else at the party. Raleigh Moms Blog is designed to be a resource and entertainment for every mom and to have reached so many different moms in just our 3rd month was complete validation for the number of hours that have gone into getting this blog off the ground.

One of my favorite parts of this celebration was how so many mom-owned businesses supported this event. Let’s start with our venue, Bittersweet. Did you know that Bittersweet is a mom-owned business? I am so glad to have picked this location, because not only was the food and service fantastic, I just love that it showcases the success of a talented and hard-working mom! I mean…those sea salt chocolate chip cookies? Ridiculously good! I know more than a few of them left the party tucked into purses!

Moms Night Out Raleigh Moms Blog Giveaways

Every giveaway that we offered was donated by a local, mom-owned business. We raffled off 2 gift baskets full of goodies from Your Favorite Things: Custom Made Gift Baskets , a handmade rag wreath from The Pink Mason Jarand straw tumbler from For The Little Peepsthat clearly states its winner is “The World’s Best Mom”. I bet she is, too!

Each mom also took home their own swag bag full of goodies like discounted massage from Massage Envygift cards to Skin Raleigh (jealous, kinda wish I got my own swag bag…), TOPO Organic Spiritsand Lemon Grass Spa of the Triangle (ok, I confess…I did keep one of the lotions for myself…amazing!).

It was a great night and only the start of great things to come. I hope that every mom who attended enjoyed a much deserved night out and I hope to see even more moms at the next event! Happy Mother’s Day ladies!
