Are you on the hunt for a fun Easter Egg Hunt for the family? Lucky you because there are lots to choose from in and around Raleigh. Get those baskets ready because there’s so much Easter Egg Hunt excitement happening around town that you might just find yourself hopping over to two or three of these springtime celebrations! Easter Egg Hunts, Spring Flings, Breakfast with Bunny and more..

March 22nd: Grab your flashlights and search for candy-filled eggs in the dark at the Town of Apex’s Flashlight Egg Hunt starting at 7:30 p.m. *This is a special event for participants with special needs ages 6+. 

March 24th: Grab your Easter basket Garner’s Annual Spring  Eggstravaganza at Lake Benson is lining up the fun with Easter Egg Hunts, vendors, games, crafts, music and more from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

March 24th: Easter Egg Hunt at Parkside Town Commons in Cary from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Over 10,000 eggs will be hidden for kiddos 10 years and under including Easter Bunny visits, a trackless train, face painting, games and more.

March 24th:  Starting at 11:00 a.m. the City of Raleigh’s local community centers will be hosting a fun morning of Egg Hunts with healthy treats! Check with the center closest to you to find out what exciting pre-hunt events are planned and for the inclement weather policy. This is a free activity and pre-registration is not required.  Click here to learn more

March 24th – April 1st:  Bass Pro Shops Easter Event is hosting an Easter event for the entire family. One free 4×6 photo with the Easter Bunny and crafts.  Easter Egg Hunt is on Saturday, March 31 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Registration starts at 1:30 p.m.

March 24th:  Town of Morrisville’s Easter Egg Hunt annual event features multiple hunts for ages 2-8 years. 

March 24th:  Town of Apex’s Annual Egg-Citing Easter Egg Hunt starts at 9:00 a.m. for children with special needs ages 6 years and under. Meet the Easter Bunny and bring your basket and buddy (if needed) to hunt for this event. At 10:00 a.m. the Annual Easter Egg Hunt begins with pictures with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt. 

March 24: Town or Cary’s Easter Events are bringing families a Breakfast with the Bunny, Easter Festival, Egg Hunts for all, and a Magic Show for all ages.  Breakfast with the Bunny starts at 9:00 a.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Easter festivities are from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  An Eggstravaganza for special needs families starts at 4:00 p.m. including a magic show. Register in advance.

March 24th:  Easter Egg Hunt with the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department starts at 10:00 a.m. with multiple egg hunts for all ages including a special needs egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. Over 10,000 eggs will be hidden and families can enjoy Easter-themed arts and crafts.

March 24th: Easter Eggstraordinaire at Knightdale Station Park Amphitheater with three Easter Egg Hunts for ages 0-8 years.  Egg Hunts, music, activities, photos with the Easter Bunny, train rides and more. There will also be an optional Egg Hunt Zone for children with special needs. 

March 25th:  Easter Egg Hunt with the Town of Fuquay-Varina at South Park starts at 2:00 p.m. Grab your baskets and camera. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around ready to pose with the kiddos!

March 25th:  Spring Festival & Egg Hunt at 1:00 p.m. sponsored by the Meredith College Young Alumnae Board with an Egg Hunt in the Courtyard, pictures with the Easter Bunny, games and activities. They will also be collecting new and used books in advance in support of Wake Up & Read. Register in advance. 

Grown-ups need an Easter Egg Hunt, too!

  • Check out the Spring Fling Adult Egg Hunt at Dix Park on Sunday, March 25th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with over 10,000 Easter eggs, inflatables, food trucks, and lawn games! This is a kid-free event. (Due to weather conditions this event has been rescheduled for April 8th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

March 27-31: JC Raulston Arboretum’s Seventh Annual Spring Egg Hunt isn’t your typical egg hunt. Families will enjoy searching for brightly painted wooden eggs to unscramble the secret word to earn a prize. This is a FREE self-guided, fun-family activity. 

March 30th – April 1st:  Dino Egg Hunt at the Museum of Life & Sciences in Durham has a special hunt for those dino lovers. Unearth colorful eggs, take a photo with the resident dino and dig for fossils! The Dino Trail will be filled with activity and excitement. This is a ticketed event.

March 31st & April 1st:  NC Zoo Eggstravaganza from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Celebrate Spring and watch your favorite animals hunt for treats inside colorful eggs. Event is included in Zoo admission.

April 1st: Durham Easter at the Durham Central Park is bringing families one of the largest egg hunts in Durham. This Easter Egg Hunt is open to children 2-12 years.
