Sprouts Farmers Market - Raleigh Moms Blog

You may have already heard — there’s a #NewKaleInTown and we’re giving you the scoop on the new Sprouts coming to your neighborhood along with an exciting shopping giveaway for one lucky reader!

Sprouts Farmers Market, a natural and organic grocery store, is open for business in Raleigh! It’s the very first Sprouts in North Carolina. They join a growing list of more than 250 Sprouts stores across the country.

If you’re planning your visit to experience firsthand what all this buzz is about, read on. We chatted with Sprouts’ Erin Miller this week to learn more about Raleigh’s newest market and we have some super insider tips to save you time and money.

Sprouts’ motto is “Healthy Living for Less”. Sprouts has a wide variety of options for whatever healthy path you and your family subscribe to and they offer those options at great prices. Gluten Free? No problem! Paleo? Check! Organic/Clean eating? Yes, ma’am! Plant-based? You bet!

They have a big selection of “grab and go” meals for busy families including a fresh salad bar and many ‘heat and eat’ items for purchase.

The first thing you’ll probably notice when you enter their bright and beautiful Falls of Neuse store is it’s a bit smaller than other grocery stores in town. You’ll see a different layout, too.

“Produce is the heart of our store and is placed right in the center,” explained Ms. Miller.

What a healthy, colorful and vibrant “heart” they have.

Next, you’ll discover perhaps the best difference of all! Sprouts is dedicated to providing high-quality produce for less. Organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables are offered at prices that are genuinely exciting. This week, for instance, they feature $0.88 organic kale, $0.88 per pound each prices on fresh apples, fresh green beans, and asparagus. Jumbo cantaloupes are just $0.88 each.

In addition to their produce, Sprouts offer a meat counter with organic and/or grass-fed meats and poultry. Butchers are on site to cut or season your selections by request. Fresh seafood is delivered six days a week.

Sprouts has an open sampling policy. You can try it before you buy it! Just stop an associate and ask them to open the package for you. They also have 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, return it to the store for a full refund.

In store you’ll find:

  • A deli with a fresh-squeezed juice bar, sandwiches, and salads.
  • A bakery with refrigerated section for specialty items like bread baked with sprouted grains
  • A dairy case with many dairy and non-dairy options
  • A wine and beer section
  • A large cheese selection
  • A bulk foods area
  • Frozen foods
  • Easy-to-find gluten-free products throughout the store (just look for the orange tags)

  • A vitamin section
  • Health(ier) sweet selections and snacks
  • Bath and body care products with sustainable and safe ingredients that stay true to Sprouts’ commitment to their customers’ health

4.) Don’t delay!

  28. Kristi March 20, 2017 at 1:22 pm #

A store with produce at the center? Now that’s exciting!
As soon as my little one gets over the flu I’m coming in…and hopefully the eggplant will be abundant!

  29. Sara March 20, 2017 at 1:59 pm #

I waited until Sunday evening after my kids went to bed to go check out Sprouts! It was a nice time to visit, as it was not crowded and I could spend as much time as I wanted, checking out everything they have to offer! It is such a neat store- I love the produce and bulk offerings! I’m happy to have it in the neighborhood.
I can see how the parking is an issue, especially after the other great restaurants in that TINY shopping center will open!
I will probably only stop in for specific items occasionally as I am a loyal online grocery shopper and value my time and sanity in finding a parking spot there! LOL.
