Friday, August 23rd. 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Marbles Kids Museum, Downtown Raleigh
Play longer with Marbles Play Late for Less. During the summer, Marbles is open every Thursday and every Friday until 7pm. Enter after 3pm for only $3!
August 23rd – September 2nd. Lumina Theater, Chapel Hill
Close out summer with a marathon of your favorite Harry Potter movies. The Lumina will play a special schedule featuring magic, muggles, and mischief! All showtimes are $5. Anyone dressed in Harry Potter-themed costume gets FREE admission.
Friday, August 23rd. 5:30 p.m. NC Museum of Art, Raleigh
This live drawing event features 75 artists at all stages of their careers drawing in front of a live audience. As spectators spy on the creative process, sketches morph into full-fledged works of art. Finished drawings are immediately available for $50 each. The evening also includes a collaborative art project, music, and food trucks. This is a ticketed event. (Free for children under 6 years.)

Join the 43rd Annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival featuring over 300 artists, live music, children’s activities, and a variety of food and drink vendors.
Saturday, August 24th & Sunday, August 25th. NC Museum of Art, Raleigh
Free event. Uncover good, evil, and even unreal characters in art from our world and mythological realms. Half-hour tours for kids ages 5–11 and their adult companions
Saturday, August 24th. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Historic Yates Mill County Park, Raleigh
Want to get inside Historic Yates Mill? Join a half-hour tour (starting at 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30 & 3:00 p.m.) to view the main power drive and milling machinery while exploring the mill’s history and aspects of its preservation. For all ages; fee: $5/Adult, $4/Senior (ages 60+), $3/Child (ages 7-16), Children ages 6 & younger are free. Preregistration is encouraged. Tickets are available inside the park’s visitor center.
