October 27th | 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | KnackDIY Craft Studio, Raleigh
Get crafty to celebrate the Halloween season at Knack DIY with an afternoon of face painting, a costume contest, make glow in the dark slime and more big surprises. Visit their Facebook Page and Website to learn more and register.
October 26th – 28th | Raleigh Convention Center, Downtown Raleigh
Annual three-day festival of international performances, food, games, art, cultural exhibits and shopping. This year’s theme is “Celebrations around the World” with over 50 Triangle communities sharing their traditions and celebrating our area’s diversity. This is a ticketed event. Herbert’s Haunted House, a Costume Dance Party, a Great Pumpkin Carving event, Halloween Mall Crawl, and a Fall Festival. Learn more about each of these events HERE.
October 19th – 28th | Canton V. Sutton Theatre at The Raleigh Little Theatre, Raleigh
Take your family to visit this classic tale by C.S. Lewis and journey to the Land of Narnia with RLT. Enjoy special events such as a Post-Show Discussion and Milk & Cookies Night. A Sensory-Friendly performance designed especially for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other disabilities will be held November 3rd at 1:00 p.m. Visit their website HERE to learn more and purchase your tickets.
October 27th | 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Lafayette Village, Raleigh
Celebrate Halloween with the family and trick-or-treat around the village in the shops of the local merchants. Be on the lookout for local princesses and superheroes from Enchanted Wishes.
October 27th | 3:00 p.m. – Midnight | Historic Downtown Apex
Live music is coming back to the heart of downtown Apex during this annual festival with four stages, 10 bands, food trucks, and craft beer & wine. Admission Wristbands ranges from $15 – $35. See HERE. This tends to be an adult-focused event, but music lovers of all ages are welcome. Strollers are not permitted.
October 27th | 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Hatcher Creek Trail at Morrisville Community Park, Morrisville
Trick-or-Treat with the family (for ages 0-12 years) through the 1/4 mile paved loop at the Hatcher Creek Trail. Collect goodies from costumed characters, play in bounce houses, and enjoy your favorite bites to eat from local Food Trucks. Also, Town of Morrisville Police and Fire Departments we will also present Trunk or Treat, where local businesses and community organizations will sponsor and decorate a police car or fire truck. Participants with the best trunk will win the “Tricked Out Trunk” award!
October 26th & October 28th | Salem Street, Downtown Apex
Grab your witches hat and enjoy an evening of shopping and dining around downtown Apex on Friday, October 26th. (Stores will be offering discounts for shoppers wearing their hats.) Bring the kiddos out and for an evening of trick-or-treating on Salem Street in downtown Apex with local merchants on Sunday, October 28th from 3pm – 4:30pm.
October 27th | 1:00 p.m. | Memorial Auditorium, Downtown Raleigh
Enjoy this “whodunnit” concert as you enjoy the comical and cunning Inspector Beckensteiner, investigating a concert where major suddenly became minor. The inspector suspects everyone, including the audience. The culprit is revealed in a surprising reenactment of the ill-fated show. October 27th | 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Marbles Kids Museum, Downtown Raleigh
Celebrate dressed in your costume and celebrate Halloween Marbles-style with a family-friendly night of ghoulish activities including a Monster Mash Dance Party. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Visit HERE to purchase your tickets and learn more.
October 27th | Noon – 6:00 p.m. | Coastal Credit Union at Midtown Park, Raleigh
It’s Wine Time! Join the 4th annual N.C. Wine Festival by sampling your favorite wines, chardonnay’s, and more as you meet the makers and representatives behind these fantastic wines. Learn more and purchase your tickets HERE.
October 27th | 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Dorothea Dix Park, Raleigh
The City of Raleigh and Dorothea Dix park is hosting the first annual FallFest! This is a family-friendly festival that’s feature live music, a pumpkin patch and a pumpkin decorating area, hayrides, a kids zone and much more. Vendors and Food Vendors will be on site. October 27th | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | NC Zoo, Asheboro
Trick or treating, storytelling, live entertainment, and a costume contest! The Zoo is also bringing in face-painting for kids 12 years and under, giant bubble making, hula hooping, a souvenir bag and more. Food will also be available for purchase. This is a ticketed event. October 28th | Noon | NC Museum of Art, Raleigh
FREE art-making event for all ages. Registration required. Be inspired by the exhibitions, Candida Höfer in Mexico, and take your own photos of the Museum campus. Print and alter pictures on site to create a mixed-media work of art.
October 28th | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Museum of Life & Science, Durham
Enjoy a train ride on the Museum’s Ellerbe Creek Railway for a trip through the pumpkin patch. Arrive at the patch and pick your own pumpkin, enjoy a hay maze, pumpkin decorating, a corn crib and other carnival games. The train leaves the station every half hour. This is a ticketed event. October 28th – October 31st | 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Historic Yates Mill County Park, Raleigh
Stop by the park visitor center and make spooky crafts, a trick-or-treat bag, paper plate jack-o-lanterns, and paper bag monster puppets. FREE for all ages. Registration not required.
