Friday, February 1st – Sunday, February 3rd. 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Historic Yates Mill County Park, Raleigh
FREE program for all ages. Come to the visitor center and learn how people predicted the weather before The Weather Channel and how animals can help with those predictions. Saturday, February 2nd. 9am – 4pm. NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh
Will Sir Walter Raleigh see his shadow? Come join this annual ceremony at noon on the Bicentennial Plaza afterward enjoy Groundhog theme exhibits and activities happening inside the museum. Learn more here.
Saturday, February 2nd. 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. CAM Raleigh, Downtown Raleigh
Join CAM for Free Family Saturday celebrating Above the Rim presented by PNC, an exhibition featuring sixteen artists exploring the joy and community of basketball. Enjoy basketball activities for all ages, art activities, free snacks and ice cream, live music, dance performances and more. A Food and Supplies Drive will take place for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Bring paper towels, cleaning supplies, and canned goods. Learn more here.

Sunday, February 3rd. 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Outdoor Classroom, Prairie Ridge Ecostation, Raleigh
FREE drop-in family program. Celebrate Groundhog Weekend learning everything about the Prairie Ridge resident groundhog and habitat. Take a walk through the prairie looking for the groundhog and other signs of wildlife. Finish up with a groundhog craft to take home. Remember to dress appropriately for the outdoors.
