All Roads Lead To (and From) Raleigh
The summer isn’t over yet. Have you gotten out and about to explore our great state? One of the great things about living in the Triangle is that all roads lead to and from Raleigh…quite literally. Hopping on I-40 and heading East or West will take you just about anywhere you need to go in the Old North State. My favorite part though, is hopping off I-40 to explore where its side roads will take you.
Raleigh is the perfect place to start your summer vacation and that is exactly where our North Carolina Summer Travel Guide begins! Just a short drive from RDU and conveniently located along I-40, in the heart of North Carolina, Raleigh is buzzing with family-friendly activity. To begin your summer, we have all kinds of great ideas for adults and children alike. Then head out on I-40 and continue your vacation East to the Carolina Coast or West to the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains.
Our travel guide features ideas for activities right here in Raleigh, out of town sites that you can see in one day and a variety of travel ideas if you can break away for the whole weekend! Whether you are looking for a beach getaway, a journey back in history, or a mountain retreat, we have a little something for everyone.
What are you waiting for? Pack up the car (make sure you have plenty of snacks) and hit the road!
PS…don’t forget to pack the sunscreen.
