Paint the Page

The Friends of the Page-Walker invite teens ages 13 to 18 to participate in the 3rd Annual Paint the Page that will take place Sunday, October 1, from 1 to 5 pm at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center in Cary. Teens will capture Cary’s historic railroad hotel on canvas or paper using the medium of their choice. Interested artists should register at http://tinyurl.com/paintthepage.

A reception will be held Sunday, October 8, from 4 to 5 pm celebrating the works of all of the participating artists. The best-in-show entry will receive a $100 cash prize and will be displayed at the Page-Walker through the end of 2017. Five $50 judges’ choice cash awards will also be awarded. Family, friends and the general public are invited to attend and celebrate the artists, and enjoy music from the Enloe High School Music Outreach Club.

Paint the Page supports young artists and gives them the opportunity to learn about Cary’s history. It also enriches the community with artwork inspired by the beautiful, historic Page-Walker Hotel that now serves as our public arts and history center.
