Autumn is upon us and with that comes a wave of back-to-back holidays, candy, cookies and celebrations. Ah, but wait! This is arguably the BEST exercise season because we’ve still got cool mornings, warm afternoons and less rain than Spring. Fall is a great time to get the entire family geared up for some outdoor movement and exercise. And if you’re really feeling particularly motivated, now’s the exact time to start training for any of the numerous Triangle Turkey Trots.
Turkey Trots? Thanksgiving? How can we possible discuss Thanksgiving when we haven’t even gotten through October?!
Truthfully, if you want to comfortably begin a new running regime you’re gonna need to commit a few weeks or months ahead of time. Plus these race spots fill up fast, so don’t delay your registration.
Check out our list of Thanksgiving Day races, kid runs, and walks throughout the Triangle and commit to getting out there in November with the whole family! Unless noted, these races are scheduled for Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day).
You’ve got 39 days till Thanksgiving, so lace up those kicks and get out there momma!
